Notwithstanding this agreement shall be in accordance with British Law. The opening of customer account with Cradea Ironmongery shall bind the applicant to the following:

Pricing and Payment Terms

Except where special rates are agreed goods will be invoiced at the prices ruling at the date of dispatch and we reserve the right to alter these without notice, if necessary. Our terms are strictly 30 day settlement on the date of invoice and all invoices will be issued as electronically as PDF files via email. We reserve the right to refuse to supply goods if accounts are not met within these terms.

Cardea Ironmongery retains the ownership of all goods on all outstanding invoices until payment is received and accepted.

Goods Terms

All product descriptions are provided in accordance with manufacturers specifications. Care is taken to ensure descriptions are accurate but due to the variation in manufacturing processes we cannot guarantee that different finishes will be an identical match.

In order to keep costs down by avoiding excessive product handling and repacking certain Cardea products will have a minimum supply quantity applied. Cardea management will advise on minimum supply quantities when preparing quotes/estimates and processing Sales Orders. 

Delivery Promises

These are given in good faith and will be adhered to, as far as possible, but Cardea Ironmongery cannot accept any liability for any subsequent unforeseen delays.

Delivery Terms

Our normal method of delivery is by road using a commercial carrier provider. Carriage is free for orders over £75. Small Order carriage charges will be made at rates ruling at the time of dispatch based on weight and method of dispatch.

Customers are responsible for advising us of non-delivery of goods within 7 days of receipt of invoice. We do not accept responsibility for consequential loss caused by circumstances outside our control.  We do not accept claims for consequential damages of any kind.

Damage in Transit

In the event of any discrepancy or damage in transit it is essential to mark the carriers Delivery Note “Contents Unexamined” and examine the goods at once, advising the carriers and Cardea Ironmongery of the issue within 3 days.


Clams for shortages, Non-Delivery or Damages goods must be made in writing, within 10 days of invoice.

Claims made outside this time may not be accepted. Our liability in the event of goods being defective is limited to the net value paid.

Return of Goods

In the event of any article supplied proving to be defective in material or workmanship within a reasonable period Cardea Ironmongery undertake to repair or replace the article free of charge, which shall be the limit of our responsibility and we do not accept liability for any other costs direct or indirect arising from such defective goods.

Goods may also be returned for credit upon agreement with Cardea Management. Goods will only be accepted if they are in their original packaging, complete and undamaged. A re-handling charge may be applied at our discretion and the minimum rate will be 15% on the invoice value.

Passing of Risk

The risk in the goods shall pass to the Customer when Cardea Ironmongery delivers the goods in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Cardea Ironmongery shall not be liable for the safety of the goods thereafter and accordingly the Customer should insure the goods thereafter against such risks as may be commercially prudent.
